SAJC Sports day on Wednesday was......sian. i guess it was partly the house comm's fault (including me) that made it sian, but couldnt really be helped! it was due to several factors which i have analysed and i plan to tell the PE dept so next yr will be better.
1) Hole in the house
Gomes house's Fengshui was so bad pls! there was like this hole in between the j1 and 2s, its actually a built in pathway. anyway it makes us even more disunited pls... and the fact that our house was situated suuuper near the canteen, of course people will disappear halfway (or most of the time rather) how to stop them also! hmm
2) No House time
wah this is quite bad, no house time before hand to coordinate and teach everyone cheers and everything. although i have to admit that this is not the most crucial factor, since the other house (or Arts fac rather, as always) managed to win (every year, in fact) the cheering. although trixie and i walked around and saw the other houses with just as low enthusiasim. hahaha so it's not only gomes. lol. the most enthu guy in gomes has to be the one sleeping on the floor listening to his iPod. hah
3) Screwed up Sound System
i thought that was no microphone initially, but according to sheryl, there was..just that it was suuuuper soft. because of that, announcements were made through a loudhailer can u believe it. the whole sports day controlled by One pathetic loudhailer. no wonder from the other side we were so lost and couldnt hear anything. we (7th gomes house comm) didnt even know the cheering competition started! HAH. we were like asking each other when is it, how amusing. the last time SAS had their sports day in our school, even they had a proper microphone! i think that should be the way, then provide every house with one loudhailer

anyway i miss crescent sports day lah. i used to think it was super boring in sec 1 and 2, until i joined house comm in like sec 3 and 4, then there was some meaning to it. and at least there's like mascot competition during sports day. and i think SAJC should follow the crescent style of sports day, represent house for like those relay telematch kind, instead of just inter-cg, inter-cca, teachers race. (we were laughing at fang running for GP dept, lol he was the first runner of his team and positioned in front, so naturally he could run faster than the others, considering such a short distance) and mr fang is getting more and more irritating lah, he keeps asking stupid questions.
