so house interview is over. was okay....i think. keep me in prayer that i pass the interview round first k! results coming out on tuesday...so scary. hai nvm, all in God's plan. oh today is good friday, so i went for service early in the morning at 830 with melissa woo, claire, and tzeyuen. i think i was kiiiinda restless during the sermon, i was amusing myself with all the things from melissa's handbag, her sunglasses which is obviously branded but i dont know what, her $700 Gucci watch, her uber cool Women's Devotion NIV Bible which i bet costs alot, her green auntie wallet...and then i was fiddling with things from tzeyuen's wallet also...but i did pay attention to the sermon and i followed the sermon and did reference okay! just that my hand itchy.....
Hm I realise that i have become more interested in what's happening in our society since i entered JC. as in like, you know... stuff that won't interest a lot of ppl at our age. hahaha. like politics and reading the newspapers and those kinda..boring stuff. haha but i realised its very important. hmm and i suppose being in the pre- university seminar that kind of thing helps. yeah which is why im also going for the UN thing, you have to pay by the way. haha and my edusave is out of money so i have to pay by cash! ): and i TRY to read the newspapers and periodicals more often than not. but its really hard to keep up with that habit. hmm anyway kind of strange how i suddenly have this keen interest in our country... u know, including watching dialogue sessions aired on tv with PM Lee and MM Lee and so on. it's a good sign anyway :D
hmm i was talking to chu xian's brother, zhu neng, online about being a christian and celebrating good friday and he knows quite alot of about christianity even though he's a free thinker. then we came to a conclusion that knowledge is not the most important, but personal faith is. then we started chatting about how some churches amplify themselves for the wrong reasons, cult worship and how it is illegal to be a Jehovah witness....and how because of some of these reasons, why free thinkers have different perceptions on christianity. actually i dont think i have heard of the Jehovah witnesses before and i think he was the first who has ever told me about them. I shall go find out more....interesting. anyway, it helps that sajc's christian and that most of my classmates are christians/catholics :) but to me there's not really much of a difference between catholics and christians and the many different denominations. and i like the idea of going to morning worship every morning to start my morning well and refreshed. and scripture reading and morning prayer and so on, christian practices. yeap, all in God's plan.
okay so to all my sisters/brothers in christ, happy good friday. and in advance, happy easter.
:D
now to start typing SOMETHING into my econs essay .....
