a phenomenon has happened. i suddenly developed this sudden interest in politics, like super interested. maybe it's the spirit of the elections, speeches and meeting MPs and all, that is exciting or maybe i was inspired by what i've been noticing on the newspapers and tv lately or maybe i had this interest all along but it was waiting to come out :)
after house meetings, evon was still around in school so i went home with her. and i had this super urgent need to go to the toilet but i forgot to tell her so i had to control all the way home. then i kept irritating her on the train about her causing me not to go for the PAP rally that night (there was school the next day so i decided not to go) then i was like rambling on and on about joining the PAP and that shobah was at the rally and i should have stayed with her. hahahahah damn amusing talking to evon lah, we were like on 2 different wavelengths cos i just went on and on and didnt care about what she was asking me :) hahahahhahaha then a funny thing happened. after i was going on and on about how shobah was at the rally, at outram park interchange we met shobah. LOL anyway i went home with shobah and i continued to ramble on and on about joining the PAP :) and i just realised i hadn't spoken to shobah (like properly) since sec2! haha
and since the best person or friend, to talk to about such issues is none other than melissa woo, future member of the UN, i called her for a random chat :D hahahaha had fun irritating her for how long on the phone, rambling on and on to her about what was on the YP and WW websites, and got some updates about her (ooooooh!) yeah, so she will become a member of the UN and i will become a member of the PAP.
(even though stupid chiewyong and sheryl says im more suited for the Opposition parties....tsk, im SUPER pro PAP okay!)
anyway after interact today i approached a member of the PAP today at the PAP centre, the HDB void deck near school and i asked him how to be a part of the PAP. he said that so long as you are 21 years old, you are eligible to sign up with your respective RC as a member. then by doing grassroots work and community services and so on, you move your way up from the ground and you will be invited to dialogue sessions, meet the people sessions and so on. it's only being an MP that will need a recommendation letter by whoever "talent-spots" you. at 21, you need not be a professional to sign up :) so i'm planning to! there's the YP and the WW.....
pity i did not purchase a ticket for band concert, if not tonight have the chance to see more PAP and SDA members. nobody wanted to attend the SDA rally tonight with me so i decided not to go (and also because i would get even more hot and sweaty) lol hope next week i'll get to see more PAP members around school area, since there is a PAP centre at that HDB block. hope PAP wins then there will be more meet the people's sessions. :)
so. i've become a strong supporter of the People's Action Party! YAY!
hahahah this is so lame because the readers of this blog are not of legal voting age. nvm, in case any 21 year old and above is reading this,
VOTE FOR PAP! :D
