1st July 06. Happy NCC day! HAHA
went for SYF 06 to do ushering and Ys was my partner. waste of time pls, nth for us to do. the whole time we were just admiring cute lil kids and gossiping abt ppl, admiring the scenery, commenting on the marching contingents, whining abt the lousy court shoes...blah. aiya i should have just auditioned for the syf emcee place when Fangus told me to. but i guess i didnt want cos of the rigorous training schedule, which included going back in the afternoon after school (SA guys...awww) hahaha the SAJC contingent was not bad....i think. hahaha we saw quite a few slackers but generally not bad for guys with no interest and background. haha. the NPCC person who was in charge of the parade form up was so fierce pls, practically shouting at everyone on the field. Anywayyyy. the primary school kids were so cute! we were like smiling at them and they smile back at us, and some of them looked shocked and scared. hahaha so cute i love kids! :D oh and when the emcee told everyone to rise to welcome the Minister of Education and then sit like immediately afer that (think it was a false alarm), the whole stadium groaned and boo-ed. HAHA the result of Singapore's education system. anyway, this year's SYFOC was full compared to two years back, as it was the 40th anniversary of SYF. haha we were being jealous at the Crescent cadets in the GOH contingent, considering our chance two years ago was turned from GOH to girls supporting cont. LOL. Pity there isnt NCC day parade this year, if not the Crescent Cadets would be able to be in the GOH again. anyway, good job done ppl!
highlight of the day was the after syf when Kenny Aaron Nabilah Ys and I took like DAMN long to decide where to eat. TSK. wasted so much time pls, and when we finally decided on Yuki Yaki at marina square (i was looking forward to it!), it was the last order when we reached there. :( as Ys said, ncc made us cocked- up too (though i refuse to believe it) lol the result of inefficiency. took super long to decide if we should eat the fondue opposite it, but it looked too expensive. In the end, we went to Swensens. lol Eileen joined us later, and we met Rachel Chiang! haha havent seen her for a long time. reached home at 11pm and that was how i spent my Saturday. or should i say, wasted my Saturday. haha
i cant wait for the common tests to end! oh and Delta i cant wait to catch up with all of you all SOON! is Chalet on 22nd july still on? inform Paula if you are able to make it or not! aaaaand ROD is on the 29th july which is after speech day and arts awareness day, so COME!
