That probably sums up much of how i spent my Friday. Last minute Christmas shopping (or waiting) in town isn't really my thing, the queues are never ending and getting stuck in a crowd is not exactly my idea of having fun. and I realised how commercialised this season has become, how all the shops are cashing in on the occasion and how the real meaning of Christmas has been almost lost. (Almost and not already, because Orchard Road is having this Nativity Village for everyone to learn about the Origins of Christmas)

I wish i can type the whole Luke 1, 2: 1-20 out but that's practically impossible so i shall summarise the Christmas story in a poem (from a bluemountain greeting i stumbled upon)
Out of Eternity, Out of His Love,
God gave the best gift- Jesus from Above.
He came as a baby, homeless and poor,
and centuries later, still knocks at the door.
He's God's gift of life, He's been there from the start.
With no need for an inn, if there's room in your Heart.
God is love, and we celebrate Christmas because it marks the birth of His Son Jesus, the same man who was crucified on the cross for our sins (so we celebrate Easter) His birth and death brings out God's unconditional and unfailing love for all mankind. So At Christmas and always, may His abundant love bring You many blessings.
