Typical house of a Local in the village, with only 1 room that is probably smaller than your bedroom, at least it is for me

The temple outside where we stayed

The livelihood of some of the villagers

A well in the village where water is drawn from

paddy fields

Woman labourers, this woman has a plate of sand on her head

Classroom of the local students in the village - 1st Standard to 5th Standard, 1st to 3rd shared a classroom, and 4th and 5th shared the other. 1st Standard is 5 years old, that makes 5th Standard 9 years old, equivalent to Primary 3 here.

Students saying the pledge of India, kinda reminds you of Hail Hitler sign doesnt it (reminded me of Tim...haha)

kids

and more kids

Their makeshift classroom outside the actual one

The students are not able to afford paper, so each of them have a chalkboard of their own (kinda struck me on how we waste paper here)

The two lil bald kids are brother and sister, the girl being the older sibling of the two. Both are 5 years old and they are like the puniest kids of the entire school. Damn cute! Mine and YiShiuan's Eyecandies! :D

Close up of My Eyecandy, her name's Shantiya. She's so small that everytime we want to take a picture of her, the other kids rush forward and try to be captured in our photo that they cover her :(

kids playing 5 stones on the sand, with real stones by the way

kitchen

Another school in the village, this one has more classrooms though. We stayed there for a week

Our Bunk, slept on the cold hard ground with sleeping bags and mosquito nets (and SilkAir pillows)

Ok more pictures to come soon!
