like my mum, im still getting over the fact that we just lost the opportunity to become instant millionaires. what is worse is not the fact that we moved out of farrer court four years ago, but that we sold the house two years ago, so close to en bloc-ing it for $1.8m. what adds on is that our current condo is vying for en bloc (though my parents are part of the 12% that refuse to go thru with it), and can u imagine how much money we would have made if we went thru with both en blocs? i was quite stoned when i found out we missed the boat by just a little, bcos of all the possibilities almost $3m would bring, and who wouldnt want to make money the fastest way. moreover with all the people around me who are making tons of money from their houses being en bloc, it adds on to the sense of regret. but i guess everything happens for a reason, and if it's not meant to be yours, it isn't. and perhaps God was trying to say to count our blessings, be content and not be greedy and i'm sure He will bless us in other ways.
1 Tim 6:6-12 "but godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root fof all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the food fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses."
Oh well, life goes on. and i should get back to worrying about not being able to complete my revision before school starts (i havent touched econs and lit at all, still halfway with the maths papers the school gave, am so afraid for chemistry as always and so much for writing down before term ended that i wanted to practice gp) but i shouldnt complain considering i have more time than dancers as kris would say (jiayou kris and vk)
ok jiayou (sorry colleen i steal your word, but i realised there's no better word to replace it, lol!) everyone
