i witnessed the epitome of the kiasuism of Singaporeans on Saturday. ok let me tell you the story. the jurong library opens at 10am. so as to ensure a table for us (jerilyn jiayue i), i reached there at 9.35am (too early i know, cos last wk i reached at 9.50am and there was alr a crowd). so anyway i was the 2nd person to arrive so obv i went to the front to wait. then the ppl started coming and the crowd became bigger. then jerilyn came at abt 9.50am. then while waiting we (ok fine, me) started to plot on how we are going to run in by which way and everything (if you cannot beat them, join them!). then all of a sudden, some ppl started to leave. there was this kid who was at the glass door waiting like all of us, then her mother told her to leave cos the lib only opens at 1pm (dunno for some reason i ignored, thinking she was saying that to make ppl leave/ she read the sign wrongly or smth :p) then suddenly jerilyn took a step back and realised what everyone in the crowd was pointing at (this blue poster that said 11aug will only open at 1pm). the worst part was, jerilyn and i were the closest to the blue poster, it was like right in our faces (we were prob too anxious to get in hence pressed our faces too close to the door and missed the poster :/ ) ya so we left feeling stupid, along with the entire crowd. HAHAHAHAH so lame ok you can stop laughing at me now (and sorry jerilyn for embarrassing you, HAHAHAHA)

just came back from the ASA travel fair at suntec with my dad. queued at different queues for different reasons and spent 3.5 hrs at suntec, so waste time but at least we got what we wanted la. and singaporeans are damn kiasu la, they were giving out lots of freebies like free bags then everyone wanted one so they just rushed for it. and on stage there was some emcee playing some lame game (like who can hold your breath the longest) and you'd get some freebie and so many ppl chiong up to take part (i would too probably but i was in the queue and couldnt leave, HAHAHAHA) ok anw the queue i was in, the woman behind me queue for like quite some time, then suddenly ask me "what is the queue for", typical singaporean. haha of course i wouldnt deny that i wasnt one too (must be patriotic) lol

Dar cooked us dinner last night at his house, thanks dar, food was good!
